Throwing My Shoulder Out for Olympic Tickets

At the last Olympic games, I had the opportunity to attend a number of really exciting events. There was volleyball, swimming, gymnastics and weightlifting. However, my favorite sport is baseball and no matter what I did, I couldn't get any Olympic tickets to the events. Every time the tickets went on sale, I was too late to the Olympic ticket vendor and they became sold out. This made me very depressed and I believed that I was going to have to sit out the entire Olympics without seeing a single baseball game. However, I found out that there was going to be a contest early the next week that would give away Olympic tickets to baseball games for the winner. This was a batting contest. Now, I played baseball when I was younger and decided that it might be a good idea to give it a shot. First, I decided a little practice was in order. I went to the batting cage and spent a few hours hitting some balls around. As the day went on, I got better and better until something terrible happened. I threw my shoulder out. The pain was immense, so I went back to my hotel room to relax and ice it down. The next day, the contest started promptly at noon. I showed up and was going to be the last one to bat. This gave me a little more time so I went to the restroom and put on a sling. Everyone at the contest laughed, thinking there was no chance for me to win. When my turn came, however, I hit a number of the balls out of the park. I ended up winning the contest, but spent the rest of the week in a sling. At least I got a chance to see my favorite sport.
